5 AM is a UI concept for a web platform that documents and archives Russia’s war crimes in Ukraine. We developed the vision of a service that could become a tool for collecting facts of aggression and a basis for restoring justice in the future.

The challenge
Evidence of war crimes is scattered across testimonies, photos, videos and reports. A platform was needed to bring it together, give access to truthful information and build a base for future court cases.
Platform structure
5 AM was planned as a site with several key sections:
- Personal registry of perpetrators — profiles of people identified during unlawful acts, with photo and video evidence.
- Eyewitness testimonies — personal stories of those who suffered or witnessed the crimes.
- Documenting Russian crimes — materials on violations of international law and crimes against humanity.
- Information banners — calls to help the victims.
Visual concept
We chose a restrained palette of dark tones with contrasting elements to convey the gravity and grief of the events. The design had to create an atmosphere of respect and compassion for the victims.
«Report a crime»
The core of the concept is a button that lets any witness or victim send human-rights defenders a written testimony, photos or video. The evidence base keeps growing, and the picture of the scale of aggression becomes more objective.
Potential impact
The platform could do more than inform the public: it could become a reliable database for future trials, give victims a voice in the fight for justice and preserve the historical memory of the war.
