Hotburo case study: new website for FOODOTEKA at Promprylad — cooking school, food market, FoodLab. New structure, graphic vegetables, launched with Simplify.
FOODOTEKA is a Promprylad project in Ivano-Frankivsk where food becomes culture. Under one roof: a cooking school, an R&D kitchen, Chef’s Hub, FoodLab, a farmers’ market and the largest food market in western Ukraine with 15 kitchen concepts from around the world. It’s a space for developing food culture and supporting chefs and farmers.
- Client: FOODOTEKA, Promprylad’s food ecosystem
- What we did: new structure, design of all pages, graphics, development support
- Branding: Spiilka design bureau; development — Simplify

The task: the website couldn’t keep up
The site had become outdated. New areas kept appearing with nowhere to show them. Navigation no longer worked either: people landed and didn’t immediately understand where to find things.

What we did
We reworked the structure, removed what wasn’t needed and added the missing sections. We updated the visuals without breaking from Spiilka’s identity and extended it with graphic vegetables — an element we created specifically for the site. We designed every page, worked with the Simplify team on the build and took the project to launch.

The result
The site became clearer and easier to use: the new structure helps people orient immediately and find information without extra clicks. FOODOTEKA got a website that reflects what the project is today — with room to grow.

FAQ
When does a website need a structural redesign?
When new areas appear with no place to live and people can’t tell where to look. That was exactly FOODOTEKA’s situation.
Can you update a website without changing the brand?
Yes. We kept Spiilka’s identity and only extended it with a new graphic element for digital.
