Hotburo case study: visual system and website for Barvy Villas in the Carpathians, with separate journeys for villa rentals and investors.
Barvy Villas is a resort of modern villas in the Ukrainian Carpathians that can be rented for a holiday or bought as an investment. At the start the client had a logo and renders of the houses but no visual identity. So we began by defining how Barvy Villas should look in digital, then built a website for two very different audiences.
- Client: Barvy Villas, a villa resort in the Carpathians
- What we did: visual system, website design, sections for guests and investors
- Audiences: guests booking a stay and potential investors
A visual style that supports the architecture
The houses already suggested a lot: modern architecture, calm colours, natural materials. We wanted to support that without adding anything unnecessary.
The main colour is a deep green, paired with pastel mint and a few greys. The palette is restrained and works well with photos and renders. The graphics use leaf motifs and subtle elements inspired by Ukrainian ornaments, plus a set of small symbols. The typography pairs a grotesque with a serif.

Everything for a stay in one place
Guests see every villa with its features and photos. Each house has its own page with stay conditions and a path to booking. Practical information — house rules, FAQs and pre-trip details — is collected separately.
Another section covers what to do in the Carpathians, with local activities and places to visit, so people plan the whole trip, not just the accommodation.

A separate path for investors
Potential investors get their own part of the site: the resort master plan, construction progress and detailed villa information. They can request a presentation of a specific house or the whole resort, or book a viewing.
Guest and investor information never mixes — each audience goes straight to its own section.

Lots of content, simple navigation
There is a lot of content, so we split it across dedicated pages and sections and left plenty of room for photos and renders — they show the resort best. Graphics, colours and typography tie it all into one style.

The result
Barvy Villas got not just a website but a basic visual system it didn’t have before. It shapes a complete impression of the resort before anyone visits in person.
FAQ
How do you combine rentals and property sales on one website?
Separate the journeys: guests get villas, conditions and booking; investors get the master plan, construction progress and presentation requests. Neither audience gets lost in the other’s content.
Can you start a website without a brand identity?
Yes. We created a basic visual system — palette, graphics, typography — alongside the website, based on the architecture and renders.
